Event Description

The Clean Sky 2 Lisbon 2013 is part of the European roadshow for raising awareness of the proposed future extension of the current Clean Sky European Research and Innovation Programme in Aeronautics for the period 2014-2024.

The Clean Sky 2 Programme

Clean Sky 2 is an integral part of the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme and will be the largest Aeronautics Research and Innovation programme ever launched at the European scale.  Clean Sky 2 Programme is currently foreseen at approximately 4000M€, as announced in the European Commission’s Innovation Investment Package of 10th  July 2013, and will be funded in accordance with the proposed Horizon 2020 schemes.

Clean Sky 2 will support European industry (including SMEs), academia and research organizations in overcoming the most demanding challenges of the aeronautics sector in the next decade and clearly identified by ACARE in its Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda: SRIA 2050

Clean Sky 2 is being proposed by 16 European Aeronautics Leaders (industry and research organizations). It is envisaged that next year Clean Sky 2 will open to expanded membership through Core Partners to be chosen through Calls for Core Partners (CCP), similar to Associates in Clean Sky today. During the Clean Sky 2  Programme execution overall no less than 60% of the funding budget will be awarded through competitive calls for Core Partners (CCP) and continued Calls for Proposals (CfP) as operated in Clean Sky today.
This Lisbon event anticipates the planned CCP and is an excellent opportunity for participants in the event to approach some of the Leaders and network with other European candidates to CCP and CfP.
